[[Join the tour|tour]]Riding the school bus, the sky is gloomy and gray. You feel the bumps of the potholes and curvatures within the road.
You felt excitement earlier in the day, but as your approaching the location you feel more uneasy with the changing scenery.
Students behind you kick your seat and in efforts to ignore, you put your backpack on and lean your head against the cold damp window.
The momentum of the bus begins to slow, you feel the bus arriving to its destination.
There’s an abrupt rush of nostalgia, remembering sitting in the backseat pretending to sleep and feeling the familiarity of your parents pulling into the driveway.
Remembering each bounce and jerk of the entrance, and although your eyes were closed you knew you were home.
However, this time was different, you opened your eyes to a new location entirely and hear the loud voices of other
students moaning and groaning,
“Why’d we have to drive two hours to an art museum, when we could’ve just gone to SeaWorld or something?”
As the students stumble out of the bus, no one stops to let you in the aisle so you wait.

[[Try Again|maze5]]How many Scream paintings are there?
<<actions [[1|tryagain9 ]]>>
<<actions [[4|safety]]>>Wrong answer...
[[Try Again|Q5]]Correct! You spring through the maze and reach the light. Its a large beam coming from a rectangular frame.
When you manouver through the frame, you are suddenly back in the museum. Safe and [[sound.]]Overwhelmed and out of breath you sit for a moment to regain your composure.
Once you start to take steady breaths you stand up, collect your belongings, and once again walk through the once again filled museum towards the exit.
Dumbfounded by what just happened. You hear a voice scream "<<print $name>>",
You stand still for a moment, unsure if you ever escaped.
You look towards the voice and see your teacher, "<<print $name>>, where have you been!? Don't make me give you a detention for sneaking off!"
You apologize to the teacher and follow her towards the bus, but not without looking back towards the museum, listening to the screams growing quieter with each foot of distance[[...]]Perhaps you were still only an earshot away from the painting, or maybe you too were moved to insanity.
The EndYour transported and all you see is darkness, until you hear a faint sound...
"<<print $name>>", [[Continue]]and it grows louder...
"<<print $name>>",
"<<print $name>>",
"<<print $name>>",
"<<print $name>>",
with each time your name begins to turn into screams.
Screams in endless, overwhelming [[numbers.]]The screams arent just getting louder...
but closer.
You start to run and when you do, you see a faint light and begin to sprint towards [[it.]]As your running towards the light you reach a maze.
You must turn before the screams reach [[you.|maze]]<img src="https://i.ibb.co/F3Pn7zb/Scream.jpg" alt="Scream" style="width:1000px;height:733

[[The Scream by Edvard Munch|screamtour]]Tour Guide:
This piece is the rarest in our collection,
it is one of the four Scream pieces created by Edvard Munch and
he shared the rationale for this title in a poem he painted on the frame of the 1895 pastel,
"I was walking along the road with two Friends / the Sun was setting
– The Sky turned a bloody red / And I felt a whiff of Melancholy
– I stood / Still, deathly tired – over the blue-black / Fjord and City hung Blood
and Tongues of Fire / My Friends walked on – I remained behind /
– shivering with Anxiety – I felt the great Scream in Nature –[[EM.”]]Historians have discovered that the creation of the first Scream was when the Norwegian painter
was broke, fresh off a failed love affair, and fearful of developing the mental illness that ran
in his family. Many believe it’s no coincidence that the bridge depicted in The Scream was a popular
spot for jumpers. It was within earshot of a slaughterhouse and an insane asylum where Munch's
schizophrenic sister [[resided.]]“The dark themes within this piece are still not fully known today… they are a mystery”
“Although many do not know the exact message many are still moved… some to insanity”
You begin to feel a ball of anxiety growing within your chest, but you don’t know why.
Is it the crowded space, the whispering conversation amongst your “peers”,
the knowledge that soon after this tour guide stops speaking you’ll once again be filed
into the bus and back to the torment of high [[school.]]Your heart beats faster in your chest, growing louder and louder in your ears. Thoughts rush in,
‘Am I the only one that can hear this?’ ‘Can they hear the pounding too?'
[[Try to calm down|bathroom]]As you begin walking out the museum you remember...
before rushing to the bathroom you left your [[sweatshirt.]]This time in the museum there’s no noise.
As you come back up from picking up your sweater off the ground you look around.
Something about the quiet is comforting, until you question it.
How didn’t you notice it before? There’s no one [[here.]]You're alone, not in fear, but like when you wake up early in the morning before the
sun comes up and everyone else is asleep. But your awake, experiencing the day before anyone else,
feeling the sunrise light up your room and flush your blanket with warmth.
It is with this thought in mind that you look up to the painting.
You see the movement of each warm stroke combatted by each cold.
Until the movement is overwhelming, spiraling, you inch closer to get a better look.
[[Get a closer look|painting]]As you approach the tour guide for the class, she comments “Great! <<print $name>>, you made it!”
